Each book is decorated in with a 'Narnian' heraldic emblem on the
front cover and spine, in silver and gold. Each has cream textured end-papers,
and quality paper. Each volume is sewn. The front cover design is by
David Eccles. All of the original black and white illustrations are
printed.The set is housed in a gold slipcase with two color maps of Narnia,
one on each side. First printed in 1996. Reprinted in 1998, 1999, 2001.
